Astronauts go through extreme training before they're even allowed to set foot on a rocket ship. One of which is the High G-Force Centrifuge Test. G-force is the increasing acceleration of the rocket when it's being propelled off the Earth. When humans are subjected to high levels of G-force, they go into G-LOC or G-force induced loss of consciousness. In G-LOC, you'll gradually experience loss of color vision, loss of peripheral vision, loss of vision but retaining consciousness, and finally, loss of consciousness altogether. To lessen the possibility of getting G-LOC, astronauts need to expose themselves to high levels of G-Forces gradually using the centrifuge test.

Take a look at how astronauts train to handle High G-Force.
